How to Make a Tea
Making a tea is quite simple. With this method we make a gallon at a time.
1. Fill a large teakettle (stainless steel - no aluminum!!) with water.
2. Add the specified amount of herbs to the teakettle.
3. bring to a boil and boil for ONE minute.
4. Remove the teakettle from the heat and allow the herbs to steep for TEN minutes.
5. Pour the tea (not the herbs) into a gallon jug (preferably glass).
6. Repeat the above tow more times and pur the tea into the same jug.
7. If you do not yet have a full gallon - fill the jug up with water.
8. Refrigerate the tea. you can drink it hot or cold, sweetened or not.

How to Make a Tonic
A tonic is alcohol-based - so if you do not consume alcohol - make the tea instead. A tonic is also stronger than a tea as it extracts more of the essence of the herbs. Making a tonic is also simple.
1. Purchase the cheapest 1.75L bottle of Vodka that you can find.
2. Into a clean container - pour out about 1 to 1.5 cups of the vodka.
3. Now break up and stuff all of the herbs for the recipe into the bottle of vodka.
4. Using the saved vodka - re-fill the bottle to the top (you may have some vodka left over).
5. Find a dark place - like in a cupboard - and store the bottle and herbs for one month
6. Shake the herbs up occasionally.
7. After the month you can consume 1 oz. per day
8. when the bottle is half-empty you can fill it up with more vodka (do this only once)
9. The longer the herbs set in the vodka the stronger the tonic will be.
