Sifu Hufford has integrated Police/Military Catching Fist Kung Fu, Shaolin White Crane Kung Fu, Qin Na and Qigong, Eagle Claw Qin Na and WuDangShan Kung Fu to create a UNIQUE martial art called "LONG HUO JANN DOU KUNG FU."

"DRAGON FIRE COMBAT KUNG FU"

Martial Kung Fu originated as a system of body conditioning and self-defense that relied on the effective use of the unarmed body of its practitioner. This system consisted of techniques of blocking or thwarting an attack and counterattacking the opponent by kicking, striking, wrestling or seizing and controlling.

Police / Military "Catching Fist" Kung Fu is a popular style in China. It is taught to law enforcement and involves direct combat methods, arrest and control techniques, and methods to quickly win a confrontation as they are needed on the job in law enforcement.

Southern Style White Crane Kung Fu is only one of hundreds of Chinese martial styles. It is said that this style was created by a lady named Fang, Qi-Niang during the early Qing Kangxi period (1662-1723 A.D.). After learning marital arts from her father she would always go to the river to watch the cranes hunt for food, play in the water, jump, shake, shout, stand, sleep, etc. From her observations she combined the crane movements into her father's style and invented the Southern White Crane style. Ancestral White Crane, also called Shaking or Trembling White Crane, is the most original of the four common White Crane styles (Ancestral Crane Fist, Eating Crane Fist, Flying Crane Fist, and Shouting Crane Fist).

White Crane & Eagle Claw Qin Na - Qin in Chinese means to seize or catch. Na means to hold and control. Therefore Qin Na can be translated as "SEIZE and CONTROL." Qin Na is composed of grabbing techniques which specialize in controlling or locking the opponent's joints, muscles or tendons. Qin Na techniques can be generally categorized as Fen Gin - dividing the muscle/tendon, Cuo Gu - misplacing the bone, Bi Qi - sealing the breath, Duan Mai - sealing or blocking the vein/artery, and Dian Xue - cavity press.

WuDangShan Kung Fu is an internal martial arts form from China that enjoys a parallel position with Shaolin Kung Fu in the Chinese Kung Fu field. Therefore comes the popular saying “In the north respects paid to Shaoling Kung Fu; yet in the south honor should be given to Wudang Kung Fu.” It is widely heard that the founder of Wudang Kung Fu was a local Taoist called Zhang Sanfeng. Zhang Sanfeng was a popular boxing player in the Song Dynasty and also an alchemist in Mount Wudang.

Kung Fu contains all four categories of martial techniques: kicking, striking, wrestling and seizing and controlling. In a cycle, wrestling is used against kicking and striking, seizing and controlling is used against wrestling and kicking and striking are used against seizing and controlling. Without all four a marital art is incomplete.
