INTRODUCTION – Sensei Vincent Glen Nero is currently employed as a teacher in the History Department at Belmont Boys’ Roman Catholic Secondary School.

SPORTS – Sensei Nero is a former National long and middle and cross country athlete and represented Trinidad and Tobago internationally.
1984 – Amber Concorde International Marathon placed 9th Guinness
1985 – Cameron Mountain Run. Placed 59th out of a field of 3500.
1986 – Guinness St. Vincent marathon 1st place
He has made a smooth transition from Track & Field to Martial Arts.

EDUCATION – Sensei Nero attended Maracas R.C. School where he he obtained his primary education.  He obtained his secondary education at Diego Martin Junior Secondary, Curepe Junior Secondary and St. Augustine Secondary. He obtained a Bachelor of Art Honors in History.

PROFESSIONAL – Sensei Nero is a qualified Electrician specializing in Commercial and Industrial wiring and installation.

MARTIAL ARTS – Sensei Nero was introduced to Martial Arts by Master Willie Johnson in 1973.
He obtained his First Degree black belt under Sensei Selwyn Tom Pak (5 Degree Black Belt) at the U.W.I. Karate Club in 2003. He founded Falcon Martial Arts Academy and conducted classes at Edinburgh 500 Government Primary School. In 2005 he was introduced to Hanshi Kevin Hufford by Professor Christopher Francis. Falcon Martial Arts Academy became a branch school affiliated to Dragon Fire Martial Arts Association – International. On 23rd October, 2007 Sensei Nero received his Nidan Rank after being examined by Hanshi Hufford. He was examined again on 22nd March 2012, he was successful and was awarded the rank of Sandan by Hanshi Kevin Hufford. Today Sensei Vincent Nero operates and manages Dragon Fire Martial Arts Association – International – Trinidad and Tobago.

AWARDS – For his work in Martial Arts Sensei Vincent Nero receive an outstanding citizen from the Maracas Community Council on the nation’s celebration of its 50th Anniversary of Independence. On June 27, 2009 he was inducted in the World Karate Union Hall of Fame at Pocono Inn, Pennsylvania . On January 22nd, 2011 he was inducted into the Action Martial Arts Hall of Honor at the Tropicana Hotel, Atlantic City, New Jersey for his contribution to the development of Martial Arts.

Hanshi Kevin Hufford (Kaicho – RyuHi BuGei Kai Kokusai, Sigung – JingShen NengLi Qigong) Hanshi Hufford loves to write and share his knowledge. He follows a philosophy called CHU-DO – “The Way of the Middle” – which simply stated means Everything in moderation and moderation in everything! and believes that JingShen NengLi Qigong and WuDang San Feng Tai Chi Chuan are the ultimate paths to achieve this philosophy.
